The Victron Energy Temperature Sensor (ASS000100000) is a specialized probe designed to provide critical thermal data to your battery monitoring system. By measuring temperature directly at the battery terminal, it allows your Victron BMV or SmartShunt to adjust charging parameters in real-time. This is vital for lead-acid batteries to prevent gassing in high heat and ensure full charging in cold climates.

Note: When the temperature sensor is connected to the auxiliary input, you will not be able to use that same input to monitor a second battery bank or midpoint voltage.
