The Morningstar ProStar PS-30 is the world’s leading mid-range PWM solar controller, delivering a robust 30 amps of charging and load current. With over 350,000 units installed in the harshest environments globally, the ProStar sets the standard for reliability in professional off-grid systems. Whether you are powering a remote cabin, a telecommunications tower, or a coastal navigation aid, the PS-30 provides the "legendary" performance required for long-term mission-critical service.
Engineered to thrive where others fail, the PS-30 features "Tropicalization"—including conformal coating on the internal circuitry and marine-rated terminals. It is one of the few controllers in its class approved for Hazardous Locations (Class 1 Division 2 and ATEX/IECEx Zone 2), making it essential for oil and gas fields and industrial sites. Its fanless design and massive anodized aluminum heat sink ensure full 30A operation even in ambient temperatures up to 60°C.

📥 Download ProStar PS-30 Datasheet (PDF)Technical Tip: The PS-30 supports up to #6 AWG wire. For 30A systems, we strongly recommend using the "Battery Sense" terminals. This allows the controller to measure the exact battery voltage without being affected by the voltage drop in the main power cables, ensuring much more accurate charging.
